As a sports fanatic, I often overdue it on sports analogies.
Please stick with me on this one: March and April is BC3′s playoff run… and Commencement is our Super Bowl!
Since late March, the College has honored our stellar students and employees with various events. On March 16, our chapter of Phi Theta Kappa welcomed new inductees. On March 20, we held our Student Awards Day. Several students lobbied on behalf of the College in Harrisburg on April 3. Two days later, on April 5, the first Academic Success Forum was held.
The purpose of this post is to provide a follow-up from our press conference/college-wide gathering held on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
I appreciate all of the comments that endorsed the Butler County Board of Commissioners’ support of BC3. Futhermore, heartfelt appreciation to our students and facutly who made comments supporting the Board of Commissioners and the College.
The reality of the situation is sincere; however, it is our expectation that this funding issue will be resolved through the legal process. Read the rest of this entry »
Baseball is around the corner – and a winning season for the Pirates? The Pens will defend Lord Stanley’s Cup when the NHL playoffs start. And the Steelers will certainly get back on track toward a seventh world title with the NFL Draft in April.
The spring semester also brings a number of wonderful events at BC3. This past week, we honored Dean’s List, President’s List, and Who’s Who students in our annual Awards Ceremony. Phi Theta Kappa will induct new members on March 26. Nurses Pinning and Commencement in mid-May will cap the 2009-10 academic year. Read the rest of this entry »
Last evening, the College held its 41st Annual Commencement. Approximately 170 graduating students participated in the event.
